Coming Soon To A Mall Near You: Opticwash

What is it about shopping malls that makes them fertile ground for technological breakthroughs in areas that clearly don’t need them? Perhaps Brookstone is just overflowing with so many great products (like motorized grill brushes or glow-in-the-dark golf balls) that those that don’t quite make the cut end up inhabiting the hallways of the mall. Case in point: those aquamassage coffins….

Maybe it’s just me, but I can’t imagine walking through the mall and thinking that it was the opportune time for a massage.  And I can’t recall the last time I was anywhere and thought about the bacteria on my glasses.  Nevertheless, opticwash will soon be here to satisfy those of you who have.  Cost for an automated pressure washing of your glasses is “to be determined”, but can you really put a price tag on nearly sterile glasses or the Missile Command-esque controller?
